With over twenty years of experience in the assembly of electrical and electronic components for the automotive, automotive gas, domestic appliance, forklift and vending machine industries as well as in the assembly of components at large, GD Srl has gained state-of-the-art expertise in the field.

Our experience, combined with a continuous development and an improved organizational effectiveness of our qualified staff, allowed us to achieve increasingly satisfactory results and, therefore, to adapt to the demands of an ever-changing market.

GD Srl has been ISO 9001:2008 certified for many years and, since November 2011, it has gained the ISO/TS 16949:2009 certification for Automotive Industry Supply Chain and the ISO 14001:2004 certification for Environmental Management System. In November 2013, it also achieved the OHSAS 18001:2007 certification, an international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

As we constantly aim for improvement, we can guarantee the companies that require our services consistent quality and customer satisfaction.

GD Srl has also established a partnership with a foreign company of about 180 employees; the firm is UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 certified and thus ensures quality at a competitive price on the European market.

All the wire harnesses assembled and manufactured at GD Srl are electrically tested by means of test boards, which are equipped with Weetech control systems and METEOR label printers for barcode and lot number labelling.

Location and Structure

GD Srl is strategically located within a one-hour driving distance from the three major industrial cities in North-Western Italy: Turin, Milan and Genoa.
Our facilities are currently divided into three main areas: the production departments (which cover an area of 3,000 m2), the offices (800 m2) and a wide external area (about 7,500 m2).

Our company has an agile and flexible structure and a young and dynamic staff:

- the Technical Department consists of a team who develop and manufacture products according to the customers’ requirements

- the Quality Department consists of a team who manage the Quality System for products, processing operations and production departments

- the Purchasing Department aims at optimizing the search for the best components available on the market while continuously checking their price competitiveness

- the Administration Department

-the Logistics Department is constantly in contact with our customers to improve the logistical flow of the manufactured wire harnesses.

Technical Department 

The Technical Department is the starting point in the feasibility analysis of a new project or product and aims at meeting each of our customers' demands.
Our technicians are provided with the following equipment:

- 5 PC workstations
- 4 CAD workstations
- 2 colour plotters
- 1 dedicated meeting area
- 1 prototype department.



GD Srl has always given attention to technological innovation, and by acquiring state-of-the-art wire processing machines, it ensures high-quality standards. Our cutting/stripping/crimping machines, which are all fully automatic and equipped with swivel arms, accommodate up to three crimping stations.

Each crimping module can process both side- and rear-feed terminals with a maximum of one side-feed machine per side; as a result, the remaining stations are available for the end-feed crimping, tinning and seal loading modules.

Production parameters are entered via Windows PCs. Production data and wire type can be saved, retrieved and modified at any time.

Production Data Acquisition (PDA) and an integrated control of the production process optimise planning and testing.

The Cutting/Stripping/Crimping Department is equipped with the following:

  • 7 cutting machines (Schleuniger CrimpCenter 65, CrimpCenter 64, Komax Gamma 333 PC)

  • 3 stripping/crimping machines, which cut wires with a maximum cross-section of 95 mm

  • 3 ultrasonic welding machines. This type of equipment was developed to produce high-quality welds and provides 4 levels of quality monitoring, i.e. weld power, weld time, pre-height and height

  • 6 MECAL crimping presses

  • 2 twisting machines, which can twist up to 6 wires at the same time.


Monitoring equipment

Our monitoring equipment comprises the following units and devices:

1 metallographic laboratory, where it is possible to determine the exact geometric conditions and the perfect compaction of wire strands for each crimp, both in the copper contact area and in the terminal part of the insulation. The evaluation program stores the measured parameters

2 QMS2000 dynamometers with integrated PC, touch-screen monitor and crimp height measurement device; they have a measurement range of 2,000/1,000/200 N and are provided with a system for the automatic preselection via touch screen of the measurement and storage devices and of the devices for the analysis of data concerning crimp height and width

2 MECAL SMST2000 dynamometers

1 Vision Engineering Makroptic system, which ensures high-contrast and high-resolution images with long working distance and large depth of field; its LED lighting system provides true colour vision

1 Vision Engineering Lynx Led Generation for visual inspection, which provides three-dimensional imaging with excellent depth of field, resolution and clarity


Cabling Division

Our Cabling Division is made by highly qualified personnel with long-lasting experience in the cabling sector.

Our staff can count on:

  • Assembling desks for any kind of cabling

  • Prototype-dedicated stations

  • Module-dedicated stations


Warehouse and Logistics Department

GD Srl's warehouse is divided into 3 areas:

  • Incoming materials storage area, where incoming raw materials are received

  • Materials preparation area, where the materials to be processed and assembled are prepared

Tested products storage area, where the finished products that are ready for shipment are stored
